We are proud of our catering; indeed our partners JMK Classic Catering operate from premises in the grounds of Loseley Park. Their skill lies in making the most extravagant banquet seem effortless and the most intimate gathering special. They will work closely with you throughout your planning - guiding and advising in detail so that on the day nothing can come between you and your invited guests.

Michael John Newton-Young MCA Managing Director
Michael is the founding Partner of JMK Classic Catering. He is regarded as one of the country’s top catering managers, a Master of Culinary Arts and a member of the Academy of Culinary Arts where he plays a significant role in the training and mentoring of up and coming front of house staff.

During his impressive career, he was involved with the legendary Roux Brothers at Le Gavroche, Roux Restaurants and then later Hanbury Manor, where he was Restaurant Manager aswell as an hotel in Courcheval, France which specialised in catering for Senior French Government Officials. After returning to England to manage the restaurant at Amberley Castle, Michael became General Manager for the catering at Loseley Park and subsequently formed JMK Classic Catering.

In 2009 Michael was awarded the title of Master of Culinary Arts, based on the French Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF). The MCA is widely acknowledged as the toughest award in the world of culinary arts available to chefs, pastry chefs and restaurant managers.

Alastair Brown Executive Head Chef
Alastair joined JMK as Head Chef in May 2000 bringing with him an experience and knowledge gained from Country House Hotels and Restaurants. Alastair has been influential in raising the standards of food service at JMK. Mentored by Carl Edmonds, the Head Chef at Penny Hill Park Hotel in his early years, Alastair then went on to run The Auberge Restaurant at the Lythe Hill Hotel, Haslemere where he held two AA Rosettes for over four years.

Now with us for the last ten years Alastair’s flexibility and understanding of the different styles and needs of each of our operations and our customers requirements has meant we have been able to grow steadily and progressively. Alastair takes enormous pride in his work and is able to instil in his team his ideas and vision for the future and is able to take them with him. In 2003 Alastair was the runner up for the prestigious Banqueting Chef of the Year Award sponsored by the Craft Guild of Chefs.

Angela Batchelor Events Co-ordinator
Angela joined JMK in 2002 as our Events Co-ordinator and has been instrumental in establishing JMK’s reputation for providing the very highest standards of Service and Cuisine. Angela’s commitment to all our guests has been outstanding and her effervescent personality and friendly manner is quite contagious, for both clients and staff alike!! You really could not be in safer hands.
